As a strategic investor, the Panasonic Venture Group makes venture capital investments in companies to foster technology partnerships with Panasonic R&D units. Companies that receive investments from PVG present clear, strategic competitive advantages to Panasonic. Our investments are designed to build strong relationships between our portfolio companies and Panasonic.
PVG is a co-investor. We make minority investments alongside other industry-leading venture capital firms and corporate strategic investors.
Since 1998, PVG has invested in more than twenty companies. Our portfolio companies have connected with Panasonic units conducting research and product development in home networking, Linux deployment, network and reconfigurable processors, digital content access and other areas. Our team includes skilled investors, managers and technologists that add value to our portfolio companies.
PVG invests in companies that are strategically aligned with Panasonic's R&D interests. Currently, we focus on technologies that are critical for digital home products, networked consumer electronics, ease of use interface, and advanced semiconductor technologies. We specifically seek companies that can create component or sub-system technology alliances.
Investments are typically in the range of $1 to 3 Million. We fund proven technology at post-A rounds of funding.
